Prices, Transport & Shopping

The Philippines is a very cheap country, but Boracay is a very tourist island. The exported products are more expensive by transport and because they are sold in a tourist site.
Fruit, fish and chicken are cheap. The beef is exported.  Olive oil is really expensive, so I tried coconut oil. I think this oil is good at cooking because it is written in the packaging: "no cholesterol".
They do not have to carry local souvenir products, just seems autochthon: original pearls.
You must think: 50p is 1 euro and 500p is 10 Euros.

Prices of transport

The regular transport in the day is about 20 for local people and 40 for foreign. But it's common that they ask for more money especially in night.

Motorcycle: To come back at home if you are alone is easy. The first day I paid 40p with local people. But I used to pay 50p in the night.
Tricycle: If you don’t ask the price is 20 for locals and 40 for abroad for everyplace in main road. If you go special place like Puka Beach o Spider House, they have a special price about 150-250, depending the honesty from the driver.
